MILTON KEYNES, UK, 28 May 2015 – Visitors to this year’s NHS Confederation Conference & Exhibition in Liverpool are set to get an extra special welcome with the help of a Tensator® Virtual Assistant.
The groundbreaking digital signage solution from queue management and patient journey specialist Tensator Group, uses the latest technology to create the illusion of a real person.
Positioned at the entrance to the ACC for the full three days of the event (3-5 June), the Tensato®r Virtual Assistant will convey a host of conference information, including information on sessions throughout the day, details on where delegates can charge mobile phones and laptops, and a request for visitors to fill in a feedback form.
For Helen Birtwhistle, director of external affairs at the NHS Confederation, the Tensator® Virtual Assistant combines both practicality and an instant ‘wow factor’:
“The NHS Confederation is delighted to welcome the Tensator® Virtual Assistant to this year’s annual conference and exhibition. We believe this innovative product will add value to the delegate experience at the event”
The Tensator® Virtual Assistant will also be the showcase solution on the Tensator Group stand (H77) at the show. Here visitors will be able to see how the product can be used in hospitals and other healthcare settings. Capabilities include, encouraging visitors to use hand-gel for infection control, presenting a map to help people find their way around, and offering additional information on services such as Smoke Free and becoming a blood donor.
Several NHS Foundation Trusts are already utilising the Tensator® Virtual Assistant to guide patients and increase efficiency, including The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt, Liverpool Women’s and Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.
Joining the Tensator® Virtual Assistant on the stand, alongside a host of other core products for the healthcare sector, will be a range of Tensator® kiosk solutions, designed to assist the self-check-in process, improve patient data quality, and reduce hospital and GP surgery waiting times and queues.
Commenting on the conference, Gordon Lorimer, healthcare business director at Tensator Group, said:
“NHS operational efficiency constantly dominates the headlines. Our products are designed to reduce operational costs, improve productivity and enhance the overall experience for patient.
“Of course, with the new government aiming to deliver a ‘seven-day NHS’, operational excellence will be more important than ever. Available 24/7, the Tensator® Virtual Assistant can act as an extra member of staff during the day or out of hours, freeing up team resources in the process.
“We’re looking forward to meeting delegates at the NHS Confederation Conference & Exhibition and showing how we can help bring about the improvements they are looking for.”
